World Children’s Day is an annual event which has been taking place since its creation in 1925, a day for children, ran by children. The aim of the day is to help save children’s lives, fight for their rights, raise awareness about struggles children are facing and help them fulfil their potential.
Wondering how you can get involved with World Children’s Day? There are lots of activities you can do together as a family to celebrate this special day, including letting the children run the house for the day! There will be many children across the world given permission to oversee schools, businesses, run flagship events, but what could be more important than being the boss of the house.
By allowing them to be the boss for the day, you are emphasising the importance of the day and the importance of children. Throughout the day, you could schedule in some learning time with your children where you can explore the history of World Children’s Day and why it was created.
