Why choose FosterCare?

Begin your foster care journey with FosterCare UK, a trusted and expert independent fostering agency.

With multiple independent fostering agencies and local authorities to choose from, it’s important you find the right agency for you.

Here are four why you should consider choosing to foster with FosterCare UK:

1. Our experience

We have 50 carers across the South East and over 10 years of experience, which means we can offer you the best possible support needed to help provide a safe and secure home to children and young people in care.

Applicants will be assessed, whether it’s your first time as a foster carer or if you’re an experienced foster carer looking to transfer fostering agencies. We use our years of experience to match children with the right carer, assessing each of our carer’s abilities, location and experience. We build relationships between carers and staff, and you’ll have an experienced professional on hand to help 24 hours a day.

2. Our values

At FosterCare UK, we will always prioritise the safety and welfare of the children and young people in care, as well as the training and support we provide to foster carers. To achieve this, we adhere to six core values:

  • Making a difference – promoting outstanding outcomes for children and young people
  • Prioritising safeguarding – ensuring safeguarding is at the heart of the agency
  • Championing care leavers – supporting and investing in children leaving care, providing opportunities to those transitioning to independence
  • Providing support – delivering an outstanding quality of service for foster carers and their families
  • Advocacy – listening, hearing and acting for those we support
  • Supporting staff – supporting and investing in our team of staff

3. Our support

We support all of our prospective foster parents in their journey to becoming a foster carer.

All of our foster carers to-be receive extensive foster training and support so that they can provide a first-class foster care service and make a real difference to a child or young person in need. We also work to connect our community of foster carers together – if you decide to be a foster parent with FosterCare UK you will have the opportunity to meet with our existing carers, hear their foster care stories and learn from their experience.

Even after you have taken on a foster child or young person, you will have the full support of our professional team who will be on hand, 24 hours a day, to answer any questions may have.

4. Our achievements

We’ve been rated as ‘Good’ by Ofsted.

We were recently awarded ‘Good’ by Ofsted. This rating was given due to the incredible work our team in the South East and London do daily to provide care to children and young people, as well as providing outstanding support to foster carers.
